The Tyrlidon
Vaeros, Stage 1.0, a basic tyrlidon.
Tyrlidon (tear-lie-don) are, despite their appearence, very much like felines. Like the eorlan and naisuk, they are battling creatures. They are carnivorous, though will eat the various tari (a plant native to Vadairia) for its magical properties. The Tyrlidon hail from Vadairia, and are only found natually there, however Kit has opened portals to other realms to introduce them to new places. They live in smaller family groups called packs, however several packs may come together forming a Pride. Tyr's Fury is just that, a Pride, made up of several wild packs, and hopefully one day several trainer sponsered packs will rise to join the ranks.
There are four know growth stages. The first, the newborn, stays with its mother and is protected fiercely, very few are lucky enough to see a newborn tyrlidon. The second stage in a tyrlidon's life if known as the kitten stage. Tyrlidon are considered kittens when they reach about 6 weeks old and their eyes and ears are open, and they begin adventuring away from mother's den. This is also when they would meet the rest of the pack. At about 9 week, while still considered kittens they may leave their mothers care to go with a trainer, but this is a very rare occurence, unless the tylidon was born in a trainer sponsered pack. The third stage is the cub stage. Kittens first become recognized as cubs at about 6 monthes of age. This is also the stage when they start training and battling. Most tyrlidon given to new trainers will be at their cub stage of life. The final stage is the adult stage. Adults are larger, stronger and less stocky then cubs. Adults will not battle with cubs. The three stages that a tyrlidon may take on a trainer are noted as 0.0, 1.0 and 2.0. As they gain appearce, armor, weapon, or elemental additions the stages are noted as 1.1, 1.2, etc.
Your first tyrlidon cub will come to you free when you register with the Pride of Tyr's Fury. This will be a basic, untrained cub. It will have a set of stats and know the most basic of attacks, and generally will not have any armor or weaponry, let alone an element.
You don't have to battle your tyrlidon, however it is prefered. Tyrlidon that don't battle will be weak, and grow up very slowly. Their stats will not increase at all, and they will be able to wear very little armor or weaponry. They can however use any of the appearance altering items and elements. And you can gain quox via roleplay, but roleplay alone won't earn you very much. |
